Garmin Swim Swimming-clock, black / dark green, swimming efficiency, speed, training functions (electronics)

Customer Review

Update after 5 months usage:

The clock still works perfectly, and does what it should.
In the meantime, my wife and a friend have the clock.
It is clear why some people have problems with the clock:
The clock works whenever floated throughout, so
- No breaks,
- No "stop" for floating on the other swimmers,
- Not "irregular" movements for Dodge in densely populated pool without swimmers train.

Meanwhile, I have also a web page (http://www.swimmingwatchtools.com/index)zum correct the paths found, which can correct the "erroneous" data.

Would be nice if Garmin so what could on its side.

======================================================================================================

The eternal Bahnenzählerei the pool was about me, and my old Polar 810 had only the - hand stopped - times included.
But I want to be better, and therefore the number of trains per train was a significant indicator.
Therefore I need a clock that captures both: The trains and tracks. Stop I could before.

The clock is well packaged in a clear box with a German (and countless other languages) Mini Guide and the ANT stick.
The manual but you do not need, because the clock is super clear in the operation:
Top left of the clock button, then the blue "now I go swimming" button, including the menu button.
On the right side a start-stop button, we. At the Cassenttendeck, and haywire the up and down buttons for menu operation It's that simple.

The initial setup interrogates a few data such as date, pool length, weight, and that's it.

So on to the Pool: clock wrist, blue button for the swim start, and then the start-stop button and off you go.
50 meter track, chest floating in. At the 1st turning quick glance at the clock: Prima, 50 m standing there and the time.
After the second turn loose back swimming, and the clock counts reliably.
After from ending Kraul, loose, with Kippwende. The clock counts perfectly.
Then a few intervals with breaks (so stop button press) and flip turn: The clock does everything right.
Loose flooding back with chest and back: All recognized.

At home the ANT driver installed (XP slightly unwieldy, Win7 no problems) and started the software in Garmin Web.
Were nice now that swam able railways, the trains and the time to read. Everything as it should. Of course, no super software such as Polar Precision Performance, but everything you need is there.

What if there were so negative to say?
The Garminsoftware is not optimally set to float, which can be even better.

The clock itself but for me there is no identifiable flaw.
Of course they can not see light. It measures only yes "Armbeschleunigungen" and time, and derives from everything else.
So if a degree Dussel swims in the train, and you will be shortly interrupted or stopped, then the the clock ever interpreted as turning. Or one turns and pulls straight on, so does not make clever kick action with sliding and train-break, then kanns ever be that clock overlooks the turn.

Genial is the "drill-setting", then you can, if you just 100 meters only makes legs, or swim left arm, etc., just enter the meter, which then also appear in the grand total.

I'm fine, the price is ok, and the settings (four are provided) are more than I can remember that.
Perhaps would be even a completely user-definable display what, but then of course, is again equal to the difficult operation.
