After my 40 year old singer departed this life, I have stitched by hand a pair of pants. After about 2 hours handwork was clear: it had to be a new machine. Since I'm not a degree much closer and more often mainly pants and soon rarely something else nearby, it should be nothing to expensive, but nevertheless certain things can should. Clear, grade seams, but also and above all flexible seams, because I have a few pieces of elastic fabric. The variable settings I wanted. Otherwise no frills, it should also not be as I said too expensive. A dear friends then advised me to the smaller version of this machine that would use a lot, she knows from handmade forums etc. I was amazed that this device had so many reviews and nearly all were positive. However frightened me there something the pink buttons on how I must confess (my husband suggested that we make a Hello Kitty sticker on it). I rummaged further and found this model that immediately fascinated me, because it also Kettel- / overlock has it. Therefore, the decision was quickly made. I had honestly some concern as to whether they can keep up the material ago with my old, but very massive machine. Concern was absolutely unfounded, once unpacked, the device showed processed very valuable. The "talent" of the machine have been listed here varied, therefore I repeat it now not discounting only my subjective impression. For the solid price I got a solid machine that makes a lot of fun. Positive noticed are: -Erstaunlich Quiet (ok, against my museum piece no art) -idiotensichere operation, even without instructions, but which at the various types of stitches helps a lot -Easy Instructions -the skeptical eyeing me Fädelhilfe proves to be great (even the eyes are already older and somehow these needles get smaller, or am I wrong?) -Zwillingsnadel Option I think it's great and I will definitely test -The retractable roll holders are great because nothing stops as soon -Much Accessories -It Is fun to sew so
Noticed negative -The lamp the sewing not look good, I had to stand an extra table lamp, which was then of course now and in the way, but I have thus seen better -Unfortunately no bag here, only the dust shell
requires familiarization: -The Pedal is, um, getting used to. I find this to the whole machine the least vertrauenweckende part. It is very small / narrow (ok, I have small feet, that's not that bad) and I have to take it quite differently. My old pedal was significantly wider and more sensitive to make -the needle dropping right-wing, I was not so nice, my old she had behind because you could decide for yourself whether you now with the left or right and up or reaching back lowers (left-handed, I have this clear preference and find it a pity that I no longer have that, but am going to get used to it)
My conclusion: for this price and then also guaranteed for 10 years (the logging on to the portal not only worthwhile, therefore, one can also find great tips there) a great machine that has surprised me very positive and fun.
