My concern was plain and simple.
I wanted the sound, which is pressed out laboriously from the flat TV speakers and also sounds so, improving by a separate sound system.
What I wished to sound enhancement, was more than satisfied by the Samsung Soundbar.
The sound was just great compared to the TV speakers. Voices complain clearly and precisely reproduced dynamics of sound effects was just great. Only in the voice reproduction, I felt the sound - by the coupled subwoofer - as a whole too dull.
In addition, I had the feeling that the subwoofer an annoying ringing - similar to a Hall effect - can be heard.
In action-packed films - especially in DVD and Bluray - occur regularly so strong dynamic jumps that quieter passages are hardly noticed. Here the sound effect kills the voice reproduction.
These were my impression after the first start.
Although the preset default settings provided a good sound, but showed the shortcomings referred to me just disturbed.
I have therefore intensively occupied myself with the adjustment of the Soundbar and ultimately established a sound that is fully satisfied me.
1. regulation of muffled sounding subwoofer sounds in the voice reproduction.
With the remote control on the key "Equalizer woofer" will change the treble and bass reproduction. It is also possible to adapt this turns the volume of the subwoofer.
Thus one has a product in its dominance tune the sound level of the sound bar (main unit) and subwoofer to each other.
Here you have to but some experimenting to find the right setting for bass and treble level for the selected volume. However, it is worthwhile in any case, because then the whole system sounds only really around.
2. adaptation / mitigation of extreme dynamic jumps
If on the remote control "sound effects" about 5 seconds, turn the soundbar in the so-called "Smart Volume" mode. This strong volume changes in the level to be adjusted to each other.
The consequence is that a blown Web dynamic soundtrack is weakened in its effect. Whether you like it or not you have to ultimately decide.
All settings are retained even after turning off the sound bar.
In addition to playback of TV sound, any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone are connected to the soundbar. The device is very easy and once set they also retained. Songs can then be played from the mobile phone directly from the soundbar. The sound from an infected USB stick also works without problems. The only drawback: If I with my Soundbar change the input source (eg from USB to the digital audio input) and then again Switch back to USB, the drive is no longer recognized.
Only when he is withdrawn and re-inserted, the tracks will be read again. This should remedy would be created by a software update.
To play audio tracks of music I have to take up the cudgels for the Soundbar here. Although in some reviews, the sound quality is described as an imposition, I feel that not so.
If the components of the Soundbar (main unit and subwoofer) are set correctly, resulting in a more balanced and pleasant sound.
Certainly the acoustic quality is not comparable with a sinfully expensive hi-fi system; but respectable for the price.
Anything else would be to compare apples and oranges.
As is known, the quality of digitized music tracks is determined by the bitrate of the recordings.
Who s playing a MP3 Sond with 128 kbit / on an expensive investment, is thus not enjoy.
With good quality MP3 songs (> 250 kbit / s) has a comfortable listening experience even at the Samsung Soundbar.
Conclusion:
With the Samsung Soundbar H430 gives a very good sound system that significantly improves the puny sound of the TV speakers. Cineastes experience through the wide dynamic sound a substantial appreciation in the enjoyment of movies.
Plus, there's options for playing different music sources.
The initial setup is Ruck Zuck and is easy.
For optimum adaptation but you should take a few hours time.
I would buy the Soundbar definitely immediately;
Therefore 5 stars.
