Who on YouTube by "SJ4000 VS GoPro Hero 3 BE (Low Light, Backlight) 1080p" seeks, sees an excellent comparison video in HD. Whoever looks at filling the picture can see the strengths of the individual units very nice.
Bottom line, the GoPro is superior to something, but not in every situation and not so strong that it would justify the difference in price even close.
Sound, as far as OK - and no worse than in the GoPro surely is the benchmark.
The Cam was after the first battery filling me in continuous operation run 90 minutes before the battery breaks down. So second battery must be for longer trips. Here is what is happening in geschnipselt jeweil 3, 5 or 10 minutes long piece you must concatenate by video editing software.
The battery compartment, although I have a screwdriver quickly get open but only after 20 (!!!) minutes fumbling again. The trick: one must push down with reasonably force the end with a screwdriver while pulling back simultaneously with a second the shutter. This is extremely fiddly and can be determined better solved.
A handbook for download are nowhere and the menu I only can call after I upgraded to the latest firmware.
It seems a German fan is extremely active, has published all possible support videos on YouTube - something we see as a user, of course, you!
Postscript: Several KM with the CAM unwound at the helm. Prima! Hardly wobbling, by the extreme wide-angle always sees the drive very quickly - even at 30 km / h. The sound is useless if the CAM is in the case, but that was to be expected, yes. Outside mounted without casing there unbearable wind noise from around 40 km / h. Those who want good sound must come up with what, let eg external Micro on the smartphone and then run along the Recorder app. The pros do finally otherwise. For image quality: There are probably serial dispersion, my is not as good as in the comparison video on YouTube - but still perfectly adequate for me and much better than anything else I've (ie under the Hero3) tested in the price range.
