To compare, before, I had already tested: - A "wireless" has never really worked: a pure galley - A helmet-type Walkman headphones, with an extension cord: no top: the tips were hurting because they hurt my ears in force. Too big and uncomfortable. Moreover, they often fell by moving the arms, head ... Sometimes some crackling due to contact with the extension. - A helmet with "bits-ear". There, it was much better for the ears, but again at the slightest movement, it drew on the wire and fell tips of the ears, which made me obviously always miss THE sentence he should not miss! In addition, the quality was not at the rendezvous and quickly, it broke apart and had only one earpiece that work (sizzling). Anyway, so, I ordered it and I do not regret! This time I think I have the solution! And besides, for a great price. So I have no worries mentioned above. It is comfortable, does not fall, the sound is very correct. Personally, I set his wheel to its maximum and I do most key. I then adjusts that of the TV. The wire is very long, which is very convenient (for this type of use, as for walking, the wire would be too long). Important thing one can enjoy the TV without disturbing the environment, but it is not completely cut off from outside sounds, which can be convenient and reassuring. By cons, so, I think it is excellent for listening to the TV, but for another use, it depends. If you want to immerse yourself in music for example, hearing nothing else, this headset will perhaps not the best choice. In one of the comments I read he did not cut the sound from the TV. In fact, I think it depends on the TV and not the helmet. Because on mine it completely mutes the TV. (This is what I wanted). Anyway, so, I can comfortably watch a movie or show at any time and without hindering while not being completely cut off from outside noise (provided you do not overdo the volume, of course ... ) The sound is good for the TV and stereo. (Not tested on a player or a string). The foam on the ear is quite wide and after a while, it keeps you warm. So in the summer, it may be more embarrassing ... Small addition to my comment (which does not detract from what I have said before, but deserves precision as time spent). There has indeed still a small problem is that it did not last over time. I say small problem because I am perhaps a little faulty (wire trailing on the ground between the TV and the chair, he was sometimes abused ...) So I have already bought 2 who each lasted me less than one year. I did not walk warranty just because I am perhaps a little faulty. So I was moved to another model that also gave me satisfaction and that did not hot in summer as there was no foam, but it requires an extension (always to watch TV), which in the long run creates bad contact. Today, I would therefore buy my third copy of this headset and I see that the price had increased slightly between my first and second purchase has increased again. Between my first purchase (admittedly, there are almost 3 years) and today there still had nearly 34% increase !!! More than a third of the price anyway. (And by choosing the vendor with the lowest price: helmet + shipping). So this makes me still hesitating. Anyway, if I decide, I hope at least it will have a longer life expectancy than the first two! Anyway, this time I'll be very careful over lying on the floor.
