Now for the lens. I was looking for a Fixbrennweite where I simply have the option to film and shoot portraits. Street Photography and quick shots should not be a problem even in AL. I have long searched for, read many forums, but could not get an answer to my question.
As an amateur photographer, I was rather confused by the many posts as they could help me. The question: Are 35mm suitable as a standard lens for me - I finally had to answer himself. And I think that's the only sensible solution. Each of the doubt, I can only give a hint to the effect: try it yourself which lens suits you and for what purposes you use it.
I consider myself:
1. haptics: Yes, it is not weatherproof and I want it probably does not find out - but it works, it focuses very fast and the USM is barely audible. All in all, makes it a very sophisticated look.
2. Exemption: Top. At my 7D exactly what lens I wanted. It gives me a little freedom in taking pictures and also calls for a little my creativity, because I have to move this time and not my hand which rotates only the zoom ring. This requires a little practice in the target range, but then comes by itself. 50mm would have me here, for example, too little room for maneuver, as too close to the object. Yesterday just once made a couple of shots - and lo and behold, the faces look very natural, really like at 50mm on full frame. I like. No distortion, to see no artifacts.
3. Aperture: Top results from only 2: 0th Adequate for my purposes. I'm very satisfied.
4. Minus: No lens hood included. Expensive to buy scarce about 55 Euro. (And no matter how many times you criticizing here in this world, Canon wirds not change so I let it :-)
5. Video: Is there nothing to complain about. Tack-sharp images and blurred almost nothing due to the IS :-)
Conclusion: Great lens, does its job and for my purposes the perfect lens with the right focal length.
