From Opticum I once had a very favorable SAT receiver and searched for the bedroom even a good but affordable HD cable receiver. Since there were no reviews for this receiver, I was only a little skeptical, but since one can all return at AMAZON again as soon as I have the XC2 tasted. The unit arrived in a gray, ugly box one would be overlooked in a shelf at the store. The device itself is a nondescript small device that can be hidden well and does not look cheap. Surprised, I was on the F connector on the back. Normal one has in a coaxial connector cable connection yes, but an adapter lies in a box and the unit was permanently connected. Great menu: What came next was really positive surprise. HDMI tuned and eingeschlaltet. Ruck Zuck, I found myself in the Instastallationsmenü led me through the installation very well. The search was also very quick and all channels are free to air were found. Really surprised and excited me the ingenious menu which has rather reminds me of a Windows8 PC as a receiver. Everything is a logical and clearly displayed and really gives the impression that has once made someone really thought here. The EPG display is very clear and not cluttered with a thousand details that no one needs. When you call the station list is an equal display currently being shown on the various programs and how far the program are well advanced. Really great and for 65, - Euro !!! The image quality is also convincing. Whether SD or HD broadcasts everything is output with 1080p says my TV. Especially HD channels as Arte or Servus really get going over there and actually already completely overloaded for the bedroom. I have only times briefly tested whether it can reproduce images and Musi The USB interface. Everything works as it should. Conclusion: Great device for small money with a nice menu and comprehensible operation. Here other manufacturer can even a page from their book and therefore also 5 star.
