Great new ideas in this mouse, but half-baked implementation

Leading the way:
The mouse comes "Bulk" Therefore, without Product Manual and requires no driver CD and is only suitable for large to very large hands.

Benefits:
+++ The superimposed small thumb buttons appear at first glance, although irritating, but they feel just fine, are exactly within reach of the thumb pad and at least the upper thumb button is hervorgagend to use. (To lower the thumb button see below)
+++ The beiligende Box with weights has 4 weights and 10 other mouse feet to offer, serving as a "Kabelfixierer". (But this is nowhere explained and you learn only by chance on the web.
+++ Ansprechenbende optics with LEDs and a small LCD display (see also below)
++ Mouse is after a period of acclimatization very well in a big right hand
++ Precise and smooth left / right Maustasen with exactly defined pressure point
++ The laser detects surfaces easily and highly accurate
++ The wheel is a good 2-way scroll wheel: Smooth when scrolling, precise and well-defined pressure point.
++ 10 keys (see below: of which only 5 freely assignable)
+ Well-feeling materials
+ The Microsoft IntelliPoint driver recognizes the mouse immediately.

Neutral:
o LCD display and luminous appearance with no real practical use
o a storable profile, inflexible

Negatives:
- Unfortunately, of the 10 mouse buttons 5 are configurable. The other 5 are given more or less fixed.
- The bottom thumb button is too stiff. Whether this is an isolated case or all Sidewinder are built, I can not say
- The mouse feet feel after cheap plastic and some have poor sliding properties. The mouse are 10 other mouse feet in, but feel the almost same, but have different colors. When you switch you must be careful so as to avoid damage.
- After 2 hours googling the web, in forums and on the Microsoft Web pages no instructions / Product Manual could be found. As the keys are not listed in the mouse driver work, one must therefore guess "intuitive" or also ergooglen in forums and reviews.

For durability of course I can make no statements and will also make no since this mouse again goes back.

Conclusion:
Several great innovations (LCD screen, thumb keys arrangement Box for cable attachment, interchangeable mouse feet), all of which were unfortunately only implemented half-heartedly and baked and thus give away a lot of potential.

Effectively remains a mouse with good 2-way scroll, 5 programmable buttons and inadequate Gleitpads for about 30 other manufacturers require for such mice half and these mice offer better gliding (Teflon or Keramikpads). The mouse reaches 3 stars, 2 stars with trend right.
