I run the K612 Pro on an average AV receiver (Onkyo TX-SR608) and am thrilled. I had previously been other AKG headphones (eg K-271) and also the widespread Beyerdynamic DT-990 Pro in use. The K612 Pro exceeds this by far. He is tonally very neutral, especially in the centers. Nevertheless, he comes in the bass down low enough and can deliver higher volumes as needed. A DT-990 Pro will contrast markedly bass and treble-heavy, almost as if someone had pressed a loudness button. Even without much import supplies of K612 Pro right from the start, a fantastic sound from, no matter what the genre. One discovers new details immediately in the music that you have not previously perceived. Also for the gaming headphones is highly recommended. Comfort I would describe as outstanding. The headset is very easy and even after prolonged wear expresses nothing. The pads are soft enough that Echtlederband adjusts itself automatically. The open design will not get you into a sweat. Processing continues for the price perfectly fine. A detachable and thus replaceable cable does not yet exist in this price range at AKG however. Although I have made no direct sound comparison with the more expensive AKGs the 700 class. Probably you will be purely phonetically for significantly more money but can rausholen only a few percent up. Material quality and finish are at the more expensive AKG models but again a class-quality. Conclusion: go get the part, if you're looking for a tonally neutral headphones high Tragekomort under 200 euros.
