Great price / performance ratio 26

The Tamron I've bought in the first place because of the good focal length coverage of 70-300mm for my EOS 400D. After a few test shots at the telephoto end, I am very satisfied with the quality. Chromatic aberration can not be avoided in some cases, in my opinion holds, however limited and can be corrected by EVD when needed.

Also the auto focus is not too slow or inaccurate. I've tested it for example for 90 minutes at a football match (with partially overcast skies) - in 90% of cases, the autofocus met exactly. The autofocus is indeed clearly heard 'distracts me but not from the subject from.' In addition, one is sure that the AF is activated)

Unfortunately I can not say as much to macro. Since I have not tested it extensively. I can only say as long as that of the switch for Normal / Macro position on the lens requires a bit of practice. ' Best read the operating instructions and 'practice'. Personally, I leave it in the normal position.

- Co-rotating filter ring (does not bother me because I do not use filters for this lens)

Price / performance ratio is here good to very good. Who photographed not much in the tele / macro scale, but these areas seeks to cover the emergency, will be satisfied with this lens.
