Why I switched from Aiptek A50P on PicoPix 3610:
So far I have the Aiptek A50P PicoBeamer used, which is why I am of course went with correspondingly low expectations for the device. Had I used a Full HD projector with 3000 lumens before, I would be a bit disappointed, that may be. But since I have previously worked with a 35 Lumen and 640x480 resolution projector and also has given me, in principle, my expectations were at the unit in my opinion, reasonable and realistic.
The reasons why I switched from Aiptek projectors on the Philips, were as follows:
- My Samsung Note 2, followed by the Grade 3 I could not connect via the MHL cable Aiptek because Samsung originally only supported with their own adapters. This I had to go through the entrance Micro HDMI and it was a bit shaky
- The mobile phone (I use my projectors almost exclusively by mobile phone) always had to be connected via cable and so has mirrored the screen. So SMS was read or the way something is surfing possible without interrupting the movie.
- The focus wheel when Aiptek is not very easy to get always sharp.
- I have built myself from wood and felt for the Aiptek a mount for ceiling projection. That was wonderful, but normally set it up for walls unaided was difficult because the fold rubber feet were wobbly and the picture on the wall usually was not so, but tilted to one side.
- The 35 lumens were then something little, since they were capable only in completely dark rooms, display a bright image. Moreover, you really could not go very far away from the wall (about 2 feet max)
- The 4: 3 resolution has even in the 16: 9 format media play, but below the image has always been to see a thick black bar, there since the 4: 3 image just to 16: 9 was cut
But now for PicoPix 3610:
It is quite small, fits in your pocket and you can place it on your table and use it as the lens of the projector at the level of the bottom of the image is. I mean the technical term for this is an offset of 50%. In the menu it is also possible to switch to ceiling projection and rear projection, as well as different color walls to compensate (eg. Green and violet). In addition, you can change the values on a scale of 1-9 manually adjust the brightness and contrast with one hand prefabricated settings such as "Of course," "Bright" and change "cinema", or.
I mostly use my mobile wireless media to play on the projector. When I'm home, I close him happy evening as second monitor via the included HDMI cable to my PC, and can thus easily reach all the media that are on the PC throw directly to the projector. This all goes smoothly and intuitively.
So after I wrote down a few loose things that I had in mind, I'm doing here conclude with a Pro / Con list:
+ 100 lumens perfectly fine, as long as the space is entirely or at least slightly dimmed
+ Internal memory of 4 GB (approximately 2.6 GB effective), with USB stick / plate or / and SD card expansion
+ Internal player recognizes far everything I have given him
+ DLNA capable, works with my touch 3 via WLAN using the free app BubbleUPnP properly.
+ Integrated speakers that are loud enough even without station at normal blended Videos (With station there is still much louder speakers to)
+ Easily the free app PicoPix Philips over the phone via wireless controlled (touchpad is on the beamer something hakelig)
+ Remote control to navigate and watch TV in the delivery
+ Android 2.3.x installed (see no disadvantages to the projector for the old version) with the possibility * .apk files to install
Included + File Explorer for Android, making the management of all data possible (have downloaded the latest firmware on the PC, for lack of SD card reader drawn to a USB stick, stick and put SD card into the projector and the projector via the File Explorer, the firmware file can be drawn from Stick on card and then install)
+ Battery lasts even with Wi-Fi and full volume about 1h 20min, what I in the "up to 2h" - had initially doubts stated by the manufacturer
+ Has many connections and possibilities, data play (built-in memory, SD card slot, USB connection for drives, hard drives or a keyboard or mouse, can be connected via USB to PC for data transfer, Wi-Fi / DLNA, HDMI input)
+ Possibility to be screwed on a tripod by tripod mount on the bottom. In addition I have bought a small table tripod, with which it is also possible to project onto the ceiling
- Fan audible. Only unusual because the Aiptek has no fan and is therefore completely silent.
- No keystone correction
That reminds me also with prolonged thought otherwise no negative points are sunken and said not pose a big problem for me, I can only express an unqualified recommendation to buy. If the fan keeps one has with this product an enormous amount of fun. I would buy it again at any time!
