Switching from the 360 to the One I have deliberately not applied immediately. Already the previous consoles had to launch some teething problems, which I did not want having trouble. Since 2015, however more and more games will be released for the One and the teething problems of the hardware are now largely disappeared, I slammed the Amazon Prime offer for 333 Euro. Without Bundle and without Kinect.
I play mostly Fifa, Assassins Creed, GTA and the occasional shooter like Battlefield. Total time per week maybe ten hours if it is a lot.
Of course there were also with me the idea to upgrade to the PS4, since these will be described more as a pure games machine in the trade press and my needs maybe is more representative. The positive experience with the 360 and the offer price and the prospect of some beautiful exclusive title and the controller, which has always accounted for a large part of the gaming experience for me, have me then grab again for XBox lassen- and so far I have no second regrets.
Dinner ordered, received the next morning, and of course looking forward like a schnitzel at last new men toy! :-)
The packaging is of high quality as well as its predecessors and safely.
The scope of supply were the box, the power unit (power brick genannt- which is very aptly at the size!), Headset, a controller and Battieren for this and an HDMI cable.
The box itself is actually really big. With the existing periphery and the 55-inch flat because you have to look already, where on the TV cabinet is still space. The measurements should be considered in any case before making a purchase! Just like the fact that the box should be horizontally and on all sides - even upwards, there is warm air - should have room for the fan. 360 experienced players know that you should do everything possible to prevent the rod ...
Theoretically, the existing 3D Blu-ray player can indeed gone now, since the box that also can- but I do not want to restart the box each time. These remain the 360 of course also available. The Sky receiver remains naturally ebenfalls- because I was just happy about the four HDMI jacks on the TV.
The box is now half right behind the TV, is covered by this also teilweilse, but the controller connection absolutely not mind. To this end, there was some criticism. For me it works perfectly.
The box makes a valued and stable impression. Front left true the gap is not completely, but creaks and rattles's nothing to get over.
The touch-sensitive buttons for power and the drive fit nicely and do not disturb, also respond properly to touch.
Set up and connection take place in a few minutes. The box recognizes common TV (my Samsung has she immediately recognized and probably automatically calibrates it) and leads the player through the first logon steps.
My box has left the assembly line on 11/20/2014, but needed a small firmware update. Thanks to fast DSL that was done in a few minutes.
I then logged in the existing Xbox Live account and was able to use my Live membership seamlessly.
The menu is okay, but certainly still room for improvement. Clarity and navigation are constantly being improved here, but you will already just fine.
The only drawback, as I have made myself familiar with the box, was that the Xbox video app was launched three or four times by itself. For whatever reason. I had not selected them. Maybe a little gimmick of MS that Xbox video says to start a couple of times "Hello, here I am! Play me!" But this is no longer occurred after day one and therefore not so bad.
When installing games you realize the large amounts of data that needs next-gen, very clear. The installation requires quite between 30 and 60 minutes when still a large number of GB update must be installed, the draws before. But well, so that today's generation of gamers should probably live simply. I used the time to get something to eat, certainly in the knowledge that it could be the last time for a long time when I first started playing ... ;-)
I am then the first steps in Fifa15 and Assassins Creed Unity and the demo of Forza Horizon 2 gegangen- wow! That is quite a quantum leap in terms of graphics and technical possibilities. But that should perhaps be reviewed in BEYOND the games themselves. But one thing is certain: The hardware has definitely really nice and plenty of opportunities for real game highlights!
The menu can be found at the games and in the store can tell other gamers while playing watch. At first I thought: What a nonsense, who wants that? Well, I ... because I found it quite amusing then to watch some other people while gambling. And good to know that others make the same mistake I did, although I certainly belong to the old iron Gamer ...
The controller makes a high quality impression. The rumble feature in the trigger buttons is hard to get used only once, then sets but certainly an added value, if one slips with the Lamborghini of the road onto the shoulder and the feedback gets over also supplied to the index finger immediately.
The key arrangement is used as the 360, only the start and select buttons have now been replaced by the menu and window keys, but meet at least match the same purpose.
By slightly different size of the controller I have the impression that he slightly worse in the hand is as yet the 360 controller. After seven hours of play time then even slight pressure pain presented a I of the 360 not kannte- but hey, who gambles seriously seven hours at a time, who it might otherwise deserve ... :-)
Only disturbing I found the right bright light of the home button on the new controller. This will light up in white, which was looks nice in completely darkened rooms but somehow disturbing at the edge of the field of acting. But even that is to get over.
Many more features to be run concurrently as an app and a game that I have not been extensively tested, but also need a lot of them do not. As described, with me to the pure Being toy and that's it!
Although I have not yet had the PS4 in fingers, but to also see no need currently. The XboxOne can do everything I need, the online modes run stable, handling is easy, I did not have a single system error all great!
From a noisy fan or drive, or other disturbing things Queitschgeräuschen I can not say anything at all. The console runs completely whisper even in full load. Apart from the usual small noises when starting a disc is really absolutely nothing to hear. Is perhaps above production date. Apparently MS has received the initial problems here well under control.
The star deduction is available for the not quite finished acting menu and the imposing size of box and power brick. Otherwise I'm completely satisfied. Very strong buy recommendation for pure gamers and those who want to set up a kind of media center in the living room and maybe even want to omit one or the other peripheral device.
I would buy the part again and again and do not regret a penny!
