Unfortunately, there are a few small drawbacks, which is why I pull a star:
- The rubber coating smells a bit by car tires and even after 2 weeks use outdoors has set no improvement.
- The eyecups can be laterally through a lot of light, which of course in bright sunlight already very disturbing.
- The eyecups can be folded down and are thus also provide a good view with glasses. That's not true. Even if I press the glasses very firmly to the inverted rubber, it is possible not to see anything to me. So I look without glasses and there are no problems.
- The shoulder strap is very narrow and intersects with the time rather in the neck. Here I simply use a padding that I have from an old camera.
- There is no tripod mount for stationary use.
- The protective cover is allowed dear home, because you can probably lose very quickly.
Conclusion: The Aculon is very good and has fully convinced me. If you think about it, but that there are binoculars for 20 euros for 300 Euro, then you're probably in good hands when Aculon. Too bad that there is not at least splash-proof and have the abovementioned disadvantages, which is why I then awarded only 4 stars.
