The ability of the BEEM barbecue is really good. Whether for meat, sausage and vegetables, it is well cooked, has a good grill pattern and tastes good too. But that's it. The grease drain is so poorly constructed that a lot of fat running next to it. But that's not all. Because behind the unit between the hinges a plastic rod was used, the fat is diverted there against the rear wall. This also high in fat runs into the device. Eventually, it then begins to drip from the unit, all messed up. To make the whole complete, the designers have locked the device with screws that can not be solved with all modern conveniences tool. So buy an expensive special bit, unscrew the bottom plate and grab the filthy thing in the dishwasher, reassemble and then it goes back until next time. The grill plates can be cleaned easily, however. I do not think Mr. Witzigmann uses the device, otherwise he would, even for money, not given away his good name for it.
