Halcyon (Deluxe Edition) (Audio CD)

Customer Review

As 2010 Ellie Goulding's debut album 'Lights' was released, I was failed by the electro sound and her wonderful voice blown away. You thus creates atmospheric, beautiful Pophymnen that come along once tender and sweet, but just as powerful and expressive.

I have eagerly awaited the new album jittery, the purchase was definitely worth it. The CD runs with me mitlerweile in a loop, and there are still been no signs of fatigue. On the contrary, 'Halcyon' enchanted, addictive, and Ellie's voice sounds like an angel. She's in my opinion, with their 2nd Album enhanced and proved that it is not a flash in the pan in the music business. The songs remain in the memory. In addition, the bonus tracks are a nice addition to the Deluxe Edition. The mix of ballads and up-tempo songs, is simply very consistent and well chosen.

Highlights:

-My Blood- unexpected sound, accompanied by delicate piano sounds.
-Anything Could Happen- definitely catchy qualities and is a class by itself, electro-pop at its best.
-Halycion- Initially peaceful electro beats the increase. These high vocals that increase is still in the chorus, just wonderful sounds.
-Explosions- Confused something at the beginning, in which titles you'd expect something else entirely. By the piano, the choir-like backround vocals, an incredibly atmospheric song and an unexpected highlight.
-Only You- intense buzzing, high vocals, then lots of beats.
-Dead In The Water- incredibly soulful, the singer could be it inspired by a Greek legend. Goosebumps, especially. By the string instruments in the backround
-Atlantis- Ethereally beautiful, powerful and brings Ellie's magical voice to its best advantage.

Conclusion:
Creativity is not mängelt the British singer and fortunately, she also has her own distinctive style. Her voice is incredibly expressive. You hear in every song, which it impresses its own characteristic stamp. 'Halcyon' makes plain and simple good humor, and definitely addicting. The album is Britpop at its finest! Anyone who has found their debut album category, you'll love this one. It is a gem among the otherwise usual, boring food. I'm already excited about what the talented Künster activist from the UK, who next at the start. For 'Halcyon' I forgive a perfect score and would recommend to absolutely. Quite a lot of fun with it!
