In individual applications the card in my Tower with 6 chassis fan is ca 71 ° warm. In a quite respectable volume. It is not exactly quiet. But the performance is just Saugeil. I have no flickering or artifacts which some write here. What so apparently each card should have.
Now to my PC: I have a Thermaltake V71 Core Tower with 5x 140mm and 1x 120mm Bequiet Bequiet fans. And an Intel Xeon processor E3 1231V3 which is cooled by a Dark Rock Pro 3. The whole on a Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 7 mainboard and now kommts in Crossfire with my Sapphire R9 280X Dual-X OC.
Everything runs very well. My CPU is under load to a maximum of 55 ° My other Temps amount to less than 50 ° (chipset) In play is the dual card X 55-60 ° warm and the Toxic is as usual 71-75 °. With a home-made air duct I manage to bring the Toxic at 69 °.
For this volume to get a grip I have with Trixx in idle 30% fan power and then turns up to 50-60% more than what I think bearable, although they mostly revolves around the 50%, while 67-75 ° in Games will be hot. So still enough air.
Personally, I can only recommend the card if the power supply fits.
As a guide I once connected my Watt device.
When the Toxic is not installed. I 58watt in idle and under load 277 watt what attracts my computer from the electrical outlet.
With two cards I 58-60 watts in idle. And under load this value varies between 300-650watt according as is how much capacity.
When I use a power supply Enermax Revolution87 + 1000Wattt. Because of this even if it is running at only 10% has a 85% efficiency.
Hope few people can start something with my review.
Oh pay attention to the length of the card, because this is about the best 2-3 cm longer than my Dual X.
