Corresponds perfectly to the description. By changing all the hangers in my closet, I gained a lot of space !!! wooden coat racks are much thicker (we do not realize it). I read this comment before my purchase, and this is verified. The clothes do not deform since they are "retained" by the velvet coat rack. I replace all my old coat hangers by those. Be careful though as for large pieces too heavy coats: the wooden coat rack remains more suited for these large pieces there.
