Having been all my phones were faced with a tough life, whether drops, shocks, dust or water, the CM15 Cyrus seemed like a good candidate. And the exterior seemed to be all right with me for now: all solid, the battery cover over the shock absorbing frame to the stable keys. Unfortunately, making the firmware to insert the impression still under development: The most important NoGo is that the key lock does not affect the torch button. Not infrequently, the flashlight will turn on when I put the thing in his pocket and sucked me gradually the battery (the otherwise incidentally is quite potent). The flashlight is not even really bright. Other brands use the camera flash as a flashlight. But that Cyrus has no camera flash ... The second is the nuisance SMS Writing: None of the input schemes is suitable normal to tap unless in permanent upper or lower case (with a large set of starting). Need to get a familiar typeface is almost more often switch through the scheme as you type letters. These two defects are the leading cause of my return. The downloaded from the website manual also helps no further here, because it is more of a function list, that is something that you could write down when passing Try yourself too. What do these functions actually do and how they will be used not described. Another weak point is the import / export of data (calendar, but most of all addresses). There is no such fact. The only possibility: Per SIM card, which is extremely limited in the number and scope and thus unfit. It would be so easy to be able to draw contact files via USB to a Folder. The connection's yet! Oh yes - the USB connection: course is charged via microUSB and exchanged data, but: First, the cable is just 75cm long. That is, a call during charging is only possible if the notebook / socket are no longer away than 60cm from your ear. And Attention: If the battery is empty, once 5-10 minutes must be loaded before you can call back, because the thing is adamant and teeming you up. Buy longer cable or load at a friend? Caution: The charging socket on the device so far sunk in the side cheek (for poetry) and has only a very narrow recess, so that the plug head is especially slim. Standard microUSB connectors often do not fit purely or slip back out and would have to be filed. What I have to note as positive is the customer service via email: Very friendly, helpful and quickly, competently, even if they of course can not do magic.
In summary: + Hardware processing: stable, absolutely site and for outdoor use + Customer Service + Ringer volume: hard on the threshold of pain, if you turn right. + Battery capacity: quite good + Key assignment quite well configured + Short vibration signal when the other side stands. This does not have to wait with mobile phone at the ear one. ° Flashlight: Well, it's there, albeit weakly - No camera flash - Key lock does not lock the torch - Data exchange: but possible via USB, phone does not understand Kontaktdaten- or calendar format. - Slightly more configuration freedom would be desirable. - A number of little things and nuances that are missing: For example, recurring appointments can be entered only limited (no 4-weekly repetition, etc.)
Has not been tested by me the actual camera quality and everything that has to do with the Internet.
My wish is the symbiosis of a user guidance as provided by eg Nokia, with this sturdy casing.
