All points on which I have failed to address either ok for the price or I've simply forgotten away.
- The unit makes a solid impression. All plastic but brushed-aluminum look
- The display is ok for the price range. but I do not think that there are displays that have a poorer viewing angle. Colours and contrast ok opening angle of the display to the device is very good. It can open almost completely.
- Very bright status LEDs on the left front edge. What is he thinking. When looking at it directly you look directly at the LEDs, no more plastic in between.
- Tochpad very rough, but huge and super preziese.
- 4GB RAM running well.
- Processor just fine and is also economical / cool
- Graphics (integrated in CPU) is sufficient for office and Internet.
- Loudness: super comfortable, quiet (quality fan?!?)
- Keyboard bounces slightly, tactile ok.
- Power connector for the power supply: I think it's terrible that you have to plug in the power plug in the middle on the left side of the notebook.
- Upgrade options: I've never seen any need to open the entire bottom of the notebook to remove a hard drive. Complicated as it gets. Note 6
- Display hinges: do not make the most stable impression. Dear leave open than ever on and on.
- Hard drive: This is actually the most serious drawback to the display. The hard drive is having read about 85MB / sec (average) is not just fast and slows down the whole system.
A vergeleichbares device from Medion (Akoya P6640 with HM76 chipset) I was able to successfully upgrade with an SSD harddisk for Ultrabook (Read about 400Mb / sec average). This should also be possible with this model.
- Win8: getting used to, but runs smoothly.
- Win7: Only when comparing model (Akoya P6640) I could test Win7. Unfortunately not all drivers available on the supplied CD. USB Controller is uninstalled in the Device Manager. When all the modern features of the processor (smart Connet = synchronization with email and social networks) enabled in the BIOS also also appeared still an "unknown device" in Device Manager.
It's annoying when not everything is installed and recognized in the device manager, because you constantly thinks that with the laptop which is not true. Suggestion follows.
Conclusion: the display depending on your taste acceptable disk = handbrake, but otherwise a clear price / performance winner. Accessing !!!
