Older reviews thought this will be fragmented scattered the food in the trap and around and triggered by touch. However, one should probably impale rather something on the tables and the animal solves the case of if it wants to pull down the food.
Older reviews criticized the processing. This is clean and ok and stable. One can something in the home workshop may also build your own but this is so that I will confine myself to laboriously forward to birdhouses.
In a small live-mousetrap rust the spring. In the rat traps despite months of outdoor use, everything is in order. Etc. The floor made of wood is not swollen. However, spacers were quite nice so that no water is sucked up into the base plate.
The simple rat trap is not too weak. Possibly you can continue the spring mount a grid pattern or something underneath push to increase the strength. Better yet maybe other attachment of the spring on the door to the leverage to worsen and to complicate the pressing.
In the longer case with two snap-doors on the other hand, the case is often eaten empty empty and half and the rat probably disappeared. Since I have to go play around with the pen.
If you go to an event, getting panic and rats often squeal around. Mice are relatively quiet. With your hands, a rat can squeeze the spine and press into his head the door. If the learn the times that is unfavorable. Therefore, I always take clothespins and thus prevents the pressing as I cling together the metal door and the grille with the clothespin. Had the case an anti-press-on mechanism they would get 5 points.
Panic can be prevented with a half Katzentransportbox about the case. But unfortunately only after snapping.
Sunflower seeds know the mice and rats from the bird table. If they do these things in the case, one has often times great tits in it. The have indeed done nothing but one wants to catch mice and rats. So you have to use other baits.
Erdnuspaste there in similar but slightly smaller jars like honey or Nutella now regularly in some supermarkets. Previously this was only maybe Specials in the American weekly. Peanut paste it smells good in heated rooms. Cheese has previously probably smelled more, but no longer do that today so much more. Peanut paste attracts good to mice. Therefore for rat traps perhaps too good for just a little mouse to do with it.
Most mice are supposed to actually harmless. Only voles eat allegedly at the plant.
Improvements would be:
- 1-3 cm longer so fit in the animals better. Adult rats are large.
- Soil-release
Prevent snapper or some mechanism to Door pressing !!! -
- Possibly even foam at the small animals as not to scare (see other reviews for this product)
- Spacers to the bottom so that one pulls moisture.
Possibly can anyone on a budget as a retrofit kit to offer so that you only need to cut to fit. 2-3 Euro excl. 1 Euro for shipping Warensendung would be beneficial.
I'm going to get for about 20 euros traps with doors just falling off and thus hopefully can not be pressed. Maybe I'll get even tinkered something to the pressing of the two-door case to prevent.
Interestingly the Falling Door traps are also because you can maybe push in a thick rain pipe for a few euros from the hardware store. When it rains, that's helpful.
Also one could protect the door with eg half Katzentransportbox everything except. This is only after the event is triggered and the animal is caught in the traps with spring mechanism.
