Yesterday I ordered this radio and have read a lot in advance and I finally decided on this model.
Why?
Well .... because:
1) it has built no pesky CD player that would be eh never used, since one by now more or less has his music collection on the PC / Mac or whatever drawn.
2.) also is reduced by the lack of CD players and the installation depth, which for many a can be an advantage, since it behind the radio is no longer so closely with the cables.
3.) It has Bluetooth .... Bluuuuuuuuetooooooooth ... so you can get your music right from your phone after you have paired both devices, play through a wireless connection.
Furthermore, you can also make calls via the radio and receive calls.
There are 2 phones paired with the radio and use the same display.
4) the included micro, which is connected back to the radio via a plug can be moved well behind the visor so that you would - depending on your taste - Place where you want it (sun visor, steering console or in the vicinity the center console)
One should only make sure that the cable is not free in the interior "flutters" - that would be me personally too dangerous.
I've now stuck on the steering console.
5.) The machine controls the FLAC codec ... that's just for me as a music lover a relief not to have to resort to mp3s. Ultimately, it was this point that has contributed a lot to my decision to buy the KD-X310BTE.
So much for my reasons why it should be just this radio ... So far so good.
Well ... the package arrived today and was so far everything inside what you need ... everything and a printed manual in German was also very clear here. What other manufacturers think actually if they enclose something on CD? I hop into the car with nem laptop and then read the instructions, while I would like to install the radio ???
The installation was in my car quite easy ...
- Disconnect the battery (due to short circuit!)
Remove control panel from the new radio -
- Remove old radio carefully after having the cable away.
- Remove the mounting sleeve from the new unit carefully and replace the old order.
- Connect the ISO cable to the appropriate adapter
- Connect antenna cable
- The microphone cable REAR not forget to join
- Pushing everything into the new mounting frame
- Panel on Cliffs
- Insert control.
- Happy that everything has worked out as far.
Reconnect the battery -
Since I had an ISO harness before, I had to do so in this case, no worrying about permanent positive. Was previously done everything. If the radio memory should be cleared with you after a new start, then please ask an expert how to create in your car Duration Plus on radio or read of your cars, the service manual. So ... after a short break has been inserted, I turned on the radio. Uuuuuuuund it runs.
But wait ... the demo mode is still on, the leaves flickering on the radio really ugly, etc. This we do not want ie: off:
1. Press and hold) Menu button
2.) By turning the volume knob up to "Demo", then press the volume knob to confirm.
3. Select) DEMO OFF and press the volume knob to confirm
This is now done and now the fun can really go.
Total of the menu is fairly intuitive ... you can play around with it a lot at first, but once you get once gewönt on the radio, then you quickly need no more instructions.
My first impressions are very positive.
The sound is far better than expected and that with the standard boxes in my car - no boom subwoofer etc.
I have not even been played on the EQ settings rum, because I was really happy even in Standard mode.
In short times paired my Android phone ... was also very easy .... and .... music played through PowerAmp also very good ... I've got really nothing to complain about ...
Now times tested the phone using Bluetooth.
I must say that I was a little bit more had hoped. While I can understand my interlocutor very good, but my opponent had to listen a little more closely - and even though I only have good 30 - 40 cm was removed from the microphone ...
BUT: you can improve the sound quality of the microphone during a call ... that then cost me good 10min, but after that everything was set correctly and the conversations were enjoyable also for the called caller.
Please note that allows the sound quality of the phone (incl. Micro) reached only during the call via the Menu button.
Ultimately this telephony function is for me more a little bonus, I've never phoned particularly much during the ride ... but as I said, after you've set everything right on the radio works also pretty decent.
The FM radio is far also easy to use. Search station - hold down longer> number button for the program position, so that it is stored on the appropriate number -> ready.
All in all I'm really very happy with the radio. Only a small box for the front panel, would have been a nice accessory ... I miss that a little ... Luckily the fit of my old radio, so now it is not a drama for me.
For me, this radio was really a good choice ... and I hope I could help a little further to one or other of you with this evaluation.
