The biggest problem is that the TV in standby to record any program.
During operation, this is the case, but of course not sufficient.
I have both a Western Digital as well as a new 170EUR Freecom used both with external power supply, both have the same problem.
Philips recommends no hard drives, we were told that was my problem, to find the right hard drive.
That when the TV hard drive wakes up, but this does not happen when shooting, is not saying Wide for Philips. I was then informed that the hard disk max 1TB may be large, which, I think, is wrong, and is not related to the data sheet, as the customer service representative had to admit. I was left with this problem alone.
So, be careful with the TV, Philips is not really expected to help if there are problems.
