BenQ Wireless FHD kit WDP01 transmits the HDMI signal wirelessly to projectors, televisions and other HDMI devices. The Wireless FHD-Kit is designed specifically for a variety of Benq projector onsite. The Wireless FHD-Kit is not linked to the Benq projector, but transmits the HDMI signal also to any compatible HDMI terminal.
With the wireless transmission system WFHD allows the flexibility of a beamer significantly increase. It facilitates for example, a ceiling mount significantly, the cumbersome and unsightly cabling unnecessary. Benq calls 30 meters as the maximum transmission distance. The WFHD kit sends the 5 GHz band, provides an uncompressed full HD signal up to 1080p and also transmits digital sound, including 5.1 multichannel sound (but not HD sound formats). The transmission also runs with no latency, which is especially important for gamers.
The kit consists of a transmitter with two HDMI inputs and one HDMI output as well as a receiver with one HDMI and USB interface plus a simple remote control (batteries included). The installation is very simple: the transmitter with the AV source such as a Blu-ray player, and connect in accordance with the receiver to the projector via HDMI cable - and the connection is established. The receiver can be conveniently with a small metal plate screwed onto the projector and supply via USB connection to power. The transmitter supports two playback devices at the same time, the choice between the two devices is done by pressing a key.
A deterioration in image quality compared to a cable connection I could not find a television as both a projector. Even the sound comes on without losses. The transfer is always stable and error free. Possibly occurring interference to other radio sources compensates WFHD kit by a dynamic frequency selection.
Practically, the HDMI output. A connected monitor here can act as a control screen as in a presentation. In the living room can connect to the AV receiver manufacture to listen to the sound in high quality over the local sound system. In addition, these cable connection also transmits HD sound formats, unlike the wireless connection.
So functional is all right.
Processing, price and capabilities:
-------------------------------------------------- -
Face the quite high price of 359 MSRP (Amazon currently about 20 less) affects the appearance rather homespun, the transmitter is quite large, the remote control very easy. In function and appearance
For a private household, the purchase is worth only if one in fact has plenty of room for multimedia, ie a projector hanging from the ceiling. The function can be simplified so as to explain, then it cuts through an HDMI cable, incorporates at both ends transmitter and receiver, and then just can bridge up to 30m. But for that the possibilities are very clear in a normal household addition.
Conclusion:
-------
BenQ Wireless FHD-Kit is a flexible wireless transmission system of the HDMI signal. Installation could not be done easily and quickly. The transmission of full HD signal (including sound) is very stable and smoothly. 5 stars for the pure function. The price is quite high, however, feel and appearance work for rather cheap and the possibilities are quite limited (actually only the projector on the ceiling). For a point deduction.
