The Scotch mending tape is the ideal helpers when times a line is leaking. If you firmly and overlapping around the leaking point wraps it in accordance with the instructions, the band connects to a fixed "emergency bandage" which seals the place reliably. I had the Scotch mending tape before the product test in use. On a camping trip, it has given me very good service as a water pipe was leaking in the caravan. With the repair tape the damage was quickly repaired and saved the holiday. Of course, so is holding a tape does not last forever, but in this case, kept the band several months until the next inspection tight. Since then I have in the toolbox STEST a role at hand. Soothes immensely.
