I initially installed for testing two of the lamps in the hallway, as a replacement for standard 50 W halogen lamps. My first impression is quite positive: Subjectively, the Sebsons are at least as bright as the standard 50 W bulbs, rather even a little brighter. The viewing angle is very large, so that a room with a few lamps can already be comfortable illuminated. A flicker, as described by some reviewers, I can not tell yet.
The light color is, however, much colder than it is the case with the standard halogen bulbs ... under warm white I understand something else personally.
Conclusion: more suitable for areas where comfortable light is not necessarily decisive (hall etc).
