It began with my 5GB iPod and the accompanying earphones and went on to something better listeners of the iPod Shuffle, Griffin Earbuds (shakes me it's still at the thought of the Earbuds). Then I tried right earphone: Bose Triport IE (see my review here on Amazon), Bang and Olufsen, Shure E2C (flat) and E4C (just flat), Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 per and finally the Sennheiser CX-300.
Very well liked only the Bose, but refuse. In the heights Very good sound the Super.fi but 250 euros is a lot of money. In addition, the Super.fis seal the ear canal so perfect that the opposite environment you are completely deaf. In mobile use on the road absolutely not recommended.
Yes, and the Sennheiser: these are the Abräumer ever. Where Bose closes down in the heights, the Sennheiser sound clear as a bell on, and on and on ... Bose is known for bass? The one believes only until they had the CX 300 ear canal and understands how can listen to bass emphasized. Here you can buy for a quarter of the price a fantastic Bose earphones, which is the Bose bass at least equal to and in the heights him loose (!) Miles leaves behind. In my view, hold that only the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 with per. But that for the 10-times the price.
I have the Sennheiser initially tried with the factory reared Silkon ear adapters. That they also may seal the ear canal pretty good and the bass blowing a formally eardrums away (tested with "With or Without You" by U2!). My first thought was that even the CX-300, just like the Bose trip location, though is cool for rock, but is listening to classical music on grounds relating to the heights. But no, even excellent DDD recordings come over perfectly clean.
The correct conversion comes but after switching to the smallest ear adapters to the day. The seal is then not so good and the surroundings makes again acoustically attention (I think necessarily prolong life - see above). Suddenly the Hammerbaß has disappeared, making a perfectly balanced sound space, which reaches from the deepest tones up to the pain threshold of the Queen of the Night. And in this configuration, the Sennheiser sounds really quite large and extends the Super.fi on par hand. Bose and Co are now long gone in the rearview mirror.
There any disadvantages? Yes! The cable is short, asymmetrical length of the cable is used to, the cable transmits crepitus on clothes when an ear adapter is used, the well sealed ear canal. With the small ear adapters too, is much better.
But that's my opinion nitpicking. Even with the Super.fi the cable is too thin - so what? It's hard enough to find really good sounding earphones. Here they are. Why should one be still upset about little things (even in the face of this unbeatable price)?
You can get there with classics say, "This is not a machine and not a machine, which is an instrument that is a Stradivarius, a Guarneri, let them have dominion resonance and vibration conditions from out picht most Raffinemang German make, you know, we do it with!. the best by far. " (Do you know it? The Magic Mountain, from the chapter "abundance of euphony").
I have little to add in this case. Buy recommendation!

Now I have still something to add; o).
I see here many meetings that the CX-300 certify a bad sound. One has to very clearly say: in-ear Höhrern the seat is extremely important. This includes the recognition that different ears differently have large ear canals. When the handset to the ear canal seal is not good, then you will not hear any bass and the sound sounds like rattling. I use now left the middle silicone adapter and right the little ones. So I listen to each side independently a good bass and the sound is great. I also left the smallest adapter, Schepperts. Experimentation here is really worth it!
