Therefore, I have bought this player for 298.00 euros at amazon on 02/19/2015. Prices go up and down from time to time times. On Saturday the unit came to a familiar fast delivery through Amazon with me.
The unit I first unpacked and found that also a HDMI cable was settled. Now everything is connected. Also a connection is established to the Internet via LAN cable. First, I have carried out a firmware update. This was carried out successfully by less than 5 minutes. Then there were the first tests. Especially on the drive noise often mentioned I was curious. But it made no disappointment here wide. The drive is very quiet and you can hear it not easy. TOP. I did not expect, especially after all the bad reviews.
The first Blu-ray was the film "Pacific Rim" in 3D. Here I have an absolutely vivid and detailed picture perceived. So I've never seen it. The second film was "The Expendables 3". Here was a quantum leap in image quality to notice. The output of the HD audio as bitstream is actually now a prerequisite. This is the case also here.
Then I have the SACD tested by the Dire Straits. Again convinced the player with sounds that I have not been perceived. Unfortunately, the receiver does not support DSD. However me the sound experience has fascinated.
Also the audio CD player will play without complications.
Then I tested Netflix. Although the surface does not look as classy as on the Sony PS3 or the Amazon Fire TV, but it works well all excellent.
The media player I've also tried. Here a large MKV was streamed with more than 30 GB without problems. Likewise FLAC files.
I am as satisfied with the device more and would buy it again at any time. Noteworthy in this connection is also the Denon one year extra warranty donated, of registering the device with the DENON Owners Club!
Conclusion: Buy!
By the way: On the remote control a very thin film is applied. These can be removed. Sort of like a protective film! After the FB looks good.
