Since I've done this before with the attachment of a protective film a bad experience, I chose the real glass protection offered here this time.
I have cleaned the screen with the supplied cloth, dry with a lint-free PecPad and then peeled off the protective film from the screen protector and tries exactly hang him.
This is something failed on the first try: The disc was a slight angle and stood over on one side of the display. Although it has started to stick immediately, but since it's really just a stick and no gluing I could solve the protective glass with some lateral pressure.
Important: Do not tear away from the display, then the glass breaks, of course, but pushing the edge and if necessary, on the corner, where it has already solved pack a fingernail underneath, then further until it dissolves more.
On the second attempt, I then applied the left edge of the glass on the left screen edge and fixed with a finger to prevent slipping and the windscreen then carefully placed on the display.
By precisely matching black edges of the disc you see Small fingerprints from keeping or occasionally lifting not fortunately. Then the disc fit the bill perfectly and you can almost see it only if you know that a protective screen was installed.
The disc fits very precisely, you have to just be careful that you're not the brightness sensor of the camera, which is located in the upper left corner of the display edge obscured, otherwise the camera can not automatically rules and the display remains quite dark the display brightness.
The "fourth G" in the product description is only incidentally that it is the fourth generation of this protective screens. The disc fits all RX100 cameras from the first to the current third generation.
