My system:
----------------------------------------
AMD FX 8350 (eight-core)
8 GB DDR3 (single slot)
GTX 970 from Gainward (Nividia reference design, overclocked to 1278 MHz via software)
(My previous card was a AMD R9 280X from Asus)
----------------------------------------
+ I flew "simply the eyes out" when commissioning the map: AC Unity, Paris, Ultra, all controller at its limit,
1080p absolutely smoothly on average at about 45 fps WITHOUT frame drops. My old R9 was already at "medium" to "high" to stutter.
+ Still a very positive surprise: Far Cry 4 all at Ultra with Godrays and Hairworks and 1080p between 50 and 60 fps;
even WITHOUT frame drops. The game I'm going through an extra play again, just to make it without experiencing stuttering on "Ultra". My old R9 abolished the just on high with stuttering.
+ DA-Inquisition on Ultra beyond 70 fps - since the mouth remained open to me then.
----------------------------------------
Conclusion after this benchmark course:
All I could simply open the mouth. So a gewlatigen performance leap I would not for that price
expected. The card comes (overclocked via software and despite the reference cooler) by a whisker to a GTX 980
zoom and leaves the entire AMD competition (including R9 290X) in the rain)
----------------------------------------
+ Angenhemes dimension of 27 cm length
+ One of the best GTX 970 on the market so that the best ratio of fps per Euro
+ Can be well overclocked by about 3% in spite of the reference cooler with software
+ In unclaimed operating virtually inaudible
----------------------------------------
- In the claimed operating clearly audible (in my opinion but not overly loud / about as loud as
the boxed fan of middle-class CPU)
Processed plastic panel of the heat sink something simple and unadorned (but not cheap) -
- Can come up with Spulenfiepen (mean it has not; that's just the class lottery of Spulenfiepens
and may indeed almost every graphics card today relate)
- In forums, especially in the UK, one sometimes hears from clattering fans (my has not / can abundances over you
as well not make any statements.
----------------------------------------
Conclusion:
----------------------------------------
This is the biggest leap in performance that I've ever done with my gaming PC.
For a little more than 300 have been suddenly a card that can compete with graphics cards,
the 600 to 900 cost. I had read the reviews on the internet about the 970 series of exaggerated
or hyped held - but after a game night with this card I am utterly convinced.
----------------------------------------
PS:
With so much power, so much fps per Euro, it is me then no matter whether the card is now 3.5 or 4 GB RAM
really uses. Before last night played through, I would because maybe differently, to the detriment NIvidias
argued. But now I would like to no longer be separated from that about 300 "Powerhouse".
PPS:
Thus, "The Witcher 3" come. The card is faster than a R9 290X - thus fulfilled the loose
Criteria for the tab "recommended graphics card".
