Highend? No! Best ratio price / performance? YES !!

Now since about 1 week I own this lens. Caveat: I'm an amateur photographer and an opportunity clippers, which a compact camera too little can, but does not want kilometer deep into the DSLR world on the other hand, since I do not have time to invest 4 hours preparation time for a photo ...! :-) And I believe in these points here distinguish the spirits when it comes to evaluating the lens:

When I count the number of terms from the professional DSLR scene in some reviews, I ask myself whether this buyer, if he have real know-how has that he pretends by the words, seriously believes that there is to be a professional high-end lens is ?? NO! People looking at the price. For sale "professionals" a UV filter.

But if you are ambitious Hobbyknipser, the Tamron lens is absolutely fine. I have now made approximately 1,000 pictures and my needs, it is sufficient absolutely and exceeds them. The zoom ratio is m. E. for holidays, sports, travel and so on just right. I was at the weekend on the Baltic coast and have sailboats photographed in the water, no camera shake / Freehand), everything sharp and to my absolute satisfaction.

I do not know what some expect, when they speak of a slow autofocus? How fast is the AF because to focus? In a nanosecond? Please be fair. Always keep the price in mind, then the assessment only be a positive. I also have to say that I do not understand it when users take at 1 minute, set the aperture, set the shutter speed and so, but then resent that the AF is too slow ...?!? Fits m. E. not together.

Came the lens with sun visor, 2 protective covers (connection / lens), metal bayonet, etc. Unwrapped: very good quality, because I can not notice any defects in workmanship, all is well processed on the spot. The AF works m. M. n. Flawlessly and perfectly adequate quickly. The pictures turned out top for my needs and the way I wanted them.

In summary, it is at this price a real good and useful objective which the ambitious amateur photographer has everything you need to be so. Could there be set even a tripod if you want to take pictures in large telephoto, then there are no problems with camera shake.

In my view full purchase recommendation, good quality at a super reasonable price.

Who has higher demands must also take greater wallet in purchase ...! It's that simple. Is it in all other areas as well. If I want to listen to music at home 20 minutes 3 times a week, ranging boxes for little money. Do I have a recording studio and am professional, I have to dig deeper into their pockets. Cost-benefit factor should therefore be given in advance. Please buy no moped if you want in 5 hours from Munich to Hamburg ...! :-)

After another 1,000 images my conclusion is still positive. I have now tried the lens in almost every conceivable weather and lighting were and still am completely convinced. The telephoto range is for my claims covered more than enough and even the macro mode is absolutely fine when the "small lens" does not just have it. Of course I have this price in mind. As I wrote at the outset, one should not expect a high-end professional here lens. But in the arts and the ambitious amateur photography to be well served with the Tamron.

Who has more claims, the need to pay more. For all hobbyists among us this narrow money is well spent in the Tamron telephoto lens. I recommend it just to test times. Why is there the possibility of return? Who is not at all satisfied, which sends it back.
