Operation:
The operation is mostly intuitive. The CD also included manual you should look at it, because it contains one or the other tip. Less well me but 3 little things are still noticed:
- Because I have left me after some time on the Intelligent Auto (which worked quite well) and also from and wanted to film at times, the order of the functions on the rotary knob was unhappy. It had to be skipped each time anew functions that you need rarely
- Is absolutely annoying that during the display of the newly shot image for about 2 seconds, the camera is completely blocked.
-.. The Hin u Switching between Capture and image viewing is done not by means of switches, but a button. Thus, once extended the lens when turning on the camera, even if you do not need.
Pictures:
the quality of the images was generally ok, well who I could not detect any significant difference in direct comparison with my 2 year old and 14 MP Lumix actually can do without. Fortunately, only a few pictures were blurred. Even with less good lighting conditions, the camera was overall quite low noise.
Movies:
a major purchase decision was to film the way in HD for me. The offered 'little' HD resolution was sufficient, Full HD I need not necessarily. The Sony left here with me a rather mixed impression. Absolutely positively the possibility of being able to zoom during filming (unfortunately still not self-evident). Also because of the high zoom ratio, a beautiful thing. Another convenient feature is that Zoom noises not particularly stand out negatively. Disappointing for me was that the images were very pale and farbarm. Of course, a camera is not a video camera. Still, I was not satisfied with the film results. In poor lighting conditions the video recordings are virtually useless (but this should not surprise anyone).
Handling:
Personally for me the reason was to return the camera again. The Sony is simply too heavy and too thick for your pocket. But I must stress that this is a purely subjective impression and of course much to do with it has of what model you came from. On this point, one can also be contradictory opinion. My old Lumix FS 15 is only half as thick and heavy. Of course, this is due to the high zoom ratio in the first place. I myself have realized that I can live more easily with a smaller zoom than with too unwieldy for me camera I evt. The whole day must rumschleppen.
