I wanted the clock actually mid-April to buy at my watchmaker (in his display stands namely: "It is an old tradition, where we repaired, there is also buying" :-)), but he had the clock not in stock. Unfortunately, he could not get because Citizen GNTB ange a supply bottleneck has -.. The clock would have been to get the Citizen representatives until the end of May ...
The price of Amazon is a real competitive price - even with my regulars bonus could not keep my watchmaker.
The metal band I have against a Milanese band exchanged (heavy mesh, HiTec anthracite, security folding clasp) - like me now visually even better because:
- The watchcase gets better without the seamless belt-cover impetus to bear
- The anthracite band continues the black of the bezel, but is also a contrast to silver housing
- And the black military style metal bands are so cool and masculine ;-) (a matter of taste, of course)
A few things that were important to me, but which I could not easily find out on the net:
- Citizen of this metal band has on the clasp no 3-hole comfort setting (light Extend od shorten the watch band when the hands are slightly thicker in the summer ...) - that's a lot of other bands maybe (even with Citizen Pilot) usual.
The watch strap is easy but can be shortened by rausnehmen of terms - AND: there are also two "half-members" - so I can adjust the belt length very precisely according to my needs.
- The metal strip has no security folding clasp - but "only" a pure double snap fastener. But is definitely performed valuable and does not seem to be working
- Constant date (month / date / day) is possible in the CAL mode. I'd like to have, for example, there are no time on the digital display, because I want them to read only analog.
- All photos on the net can reflect the beauty of the clock only conditionally. As a rule, the clock is "real" ever more beautiful and exciting than the best photos.
- I love and like to read instruction manuals. I find the manual Citizen managed - everything is explained. I understand all the functions except for the use of the slide rule on the bezel; this puzzle will not open up to me.
Who is overwhelmed with the instructions, but some English can: on citizenwatch-global.com there are in the service area a flash instructions; made very detailed and graphically appealing. One can also listen there the two different alarm tones ...
- Who wants to swap the strap: you need a belt with standard 22 mm Lug
- Where I'm still not sure: indices and hands are coated with either varying Superluminova, or the hands are stronger coated. When excited, the hands glow in any case more and in lighter green. Following a suggestion (Best results with blue white LED light) can be read off the time without problems all night.
- All pointers meet exactly the indices; the minute hand moves in 60 minute increments to the next (which someone has explained in another Renz Sion - was very helpful for me in my old pilot, the minute hand has had only 4 steps from one minute to the next, so every 15 seconds. . 1/4 ... That's when the Skyhawk with the minute hand and much finer liquid, namely every second 1/60)
- Hands and indices have sunray
- The bezel is mounted on both sides and easy - no locking points, there is no diver bezel; we are pilots ...
And finally: the dial is of course not overloaded - but it is stunningly interesting because there's a lot to see and discover. The time is still easily and accurately read (Thanks to the clear indices and hands, the classic Black / White Contrast of Pilots).
