As in GS few narrative threads are dissolved again and little by little and add the deterrent for many (unfortunately) Volumes 9 and 10 in a coherent overall picture. So we understand more and more the various prophecies and get so slowly an idea of how Tarmon Gaidon might look and why so many so far came as it had come.
Thanks Rand's change in GS there in ToM many touching and grandiose moments and the hope keeps finally moving into the heart of the protagonists (eg "Apple's First".) - Really very moving! But it's not all sunshine and roses, and we learn with Aviendha's trip to Rhuidean mE one of the worst / saddest revelations of the series so far.
Very good I like definitely Nynaeves development. I've always had a soft spot for them and I am glad that it has finally become "grown up".
The Seanchan however, make themselves increasingly unpopular with me ...
Clearly there are always scenes where it is suspected that Robert Jordan would have certainly done voiced over, but I personally believe me then in mind how difficult it must be for an author to continue the story of another seamlessly and then I reconciled , For example mE Mats conviction of himself and his effect on women is a little too strong, in the previous volumes that never became clear. And especially in Elaynes scenes I imagine the difference can be seen clearly - at least it seems at times but very strange and somehow reacts unexpectedly ... (* Mini spoiler * reunion Elayne - Mat in relation to Elayne - Perrin or Morgase). Stronger than in GS struck me this time on that Brandon Sanderson sometimes uses a very getting used to for me syntax, so I had to read 3-4 times some sentences. Some scenes seem really a bit short, but just because you are used to at WOT to RJ's extravagant descriptions * gg *.
Nevertheless, I feel bound to be incredibly happy that it to exit after Robert Jordan's death, Brandon Sanderson made the goal of my favorite series. Finally, it was in band 11 at the exact point where you expectantly holding its breath, waiting for the grand finale. And we readers had to long long time with uncertainty and speculation content. Therefore I can GS and Tom especially those fully recommend who turned their backs on the series of disappointment at the lack of continued and'm totally excited about "A Memory of Light".
