When I ordered the Super Rocket Air Blower approximately three and a half years ago, I was wondering about the missile design of air-blower. The "small step for a man but of great for humanity" of Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon, was a long time ago (1969) and therefore the former design hype, give many everyday objects in the shape of little rockets exemplary.
After a longer use it becomes clear that the rocket shape of the air-blower really makes sense. It is not a marketing gimmick, but in this case, form follows function! The reasons for this:
1. A good air-blower needs between the intake (below between the missile feet) and the outlet of the air jet (up at the top) a certain minimum distance. This will substantially prevent the weggepustete dust is sucked again. That's super solved when Giotto GTAA1900: the corresponding distance is approximately 19 cm. While that's nothing compared to the 100 meters of the moon rocket Saturn 5 :-) enough but out to suck "clean" air from behind.
2. Use the four "rockets feet" is the air-blower, if it is not used, vertically. Thus the accumulation of dust will be reduced to the suction nozzle. At the same time in this position, 2-3 mm distance between the suction port and the respective ground on which the Giotto stands. This prevents the suction dust and dirt from the ground on which he is receiving.
So the design of the rocket follows the required function. The missiles form the ideal implementation of "form follows function".
B) Practical use:
Purchased initially for DSLR and lens cleaning, the rocket is in many areas in my application:
- Each lens filter change
- DSLR: for dust holding sensor and ground glass
- When focusing screen change to clean the focusing screen and the prism of DSLR
- Versatile hi-end home theater systems Park, particularly for dust release of sensitive gimbal tonearms my turntable
- For keyboards etc.
Throughout the rocket fulfills my expectations easily. And after three and a half years of intensive use, I must say, the processing is of good quality and suitable for long-term / long term. The rubber of the bellows is still soft (not hardened yet brittle) so that no rubber particles are blown off from the inside.
To summarize:
All TOP, since three and a half years! Thus: In the next three to four years!
I hope this review was helpful to you. About comments to share our experience with the rocket, I am pleased.
