Yes, after I had bought a diffuser here and tried out for the first time, I really wonder that. I have a Olympus FL36 and since I have the diffuser, I take pictures no longer without it. I use TTL (Through-The-Lens / Through-the-lens) and have thus always the proper exposure. The diffuser I've tried with different angles of the flash unit and always get a good result. What is the thing now? Less light reflections, softer flash light, better illumination - the light is scattered and thus less shade. Photos are quite something - I stress some - three-dimensional than with flash without diffuser. Naturally red eyes no longer need therefore to be feared. Works directly and indirectly.
For plastic cap itself there is not much to say: Solid, well finished and fits perfectly, at least on my FL36. Does not fall down, does not wobble and can be removed with little effort again. So if you often flashes or the effects described above emphasizes, I can put the diffuser only warmly recommend. For relatively little money, a large effect.
