Some years ago I had already implemented the idea of my flat screen TV with my "old" stereo to connect. So then buy an adapter coax RCA, the "almost" did everything what I wanted. BUT: When did the HD programs and some videos from the in-house NAS (and could) do not work the transformation. After a bit of reading on the internet was clear: the specifications PCM, Dolby Digital, etc. differ and therefore the adapter that convert the audio signals accordingly. Having now send more and more channels in HD and Dolby Digital, had a new adapter ago to use the still good sound of the "old" boxes can. After a short test I can say that the Ligawo converter previously showed weaknesses in any relevant audio format. Public law or private HD or SD channels, SKY on the external receiver, MP3 or video formats verschiedenene from NAS - everything is converted. And without that I could notice an audible delay. Games I have not tested any more than the connection via the optical cable - included, but very short and ... well .. something "windy" looking. Even the sound image and its distortion, I can say nothing negative. Purists may disagree, but for general household use splints me everything - especially for the price - to work perfectly. To summarize: I have found a solution appropriate little money that allows me to use the sound of my old boxes of current TV shows and videos. No more and no less.
