+ The notebook comes with a fully rough-matt surface, both inside and on the exterior surface. No piano lacquer or other bells and whistles, in which you can see every fingerprint - it's a real treat.
+ The keyboard is great, nothing wobbles and the writing is slightly out of hand.
+ In idle the notebook is very quiet under load rotates the fan but then audible.
Included + Windows 7 64-Bit DVD (at initial installation is 32-bit install)
= The display Of this ... I had me expecting something more. While it is dull, it has a great resolution of 1600x900 pixels - a real treat when surfing - and a good contrast, but the viewing angle is very disappointed me. Only when one sits exactly in front of the screen, the illumination is distributed fairly evenly. But even a small deviation from it will be punished with false colors and dark corners. I do not argue that this is better in other notebooks, here I miss the comparison.
(Addendum: Meanwhile, I can convince myself that 90% of the other displays are a lot worse than this So I would recommend it even now!).
!! Caution: The notebook was with me in the default settings a distinct blue cast, so the notebook was virtually useless! After a quick screen calibration over Windows, this has significantly improved, the colors do now.
= The graphics is enough for older games still pending. To make matters here, of course, the high screen resolution added that would require a very potent graphics card. But for Trackmania oä it enough yet.
= There are pre-installed only 2GB of RAM. That's enough for Windows 7 (slides easily and without restrictions), but is quite tight. Who buys the notebook version with the Intel HD graphics, which also uses the RAM, which should urgently upgrade.
-The Initial installation is to hell because HP estimated 1000 programs that no one needs anyway installed. Anyone who wants to install W7 64 bit anyway, this should immediately make the beginning (then runs the way without any problems, driver CD is included.)
-The Included battery lasts just 3 hours during normal browsing.
-The Drive is very loud! Is to watch DVDs there already an ordeal. Who uses it frequently, should think about a change.
-The Speakers are - as with all laptops - a joke. Who wants to listen to music or play games, should urgently define external speakers!
Despite the negative points a successful notebook, which I would recommend to a screen calibration quite.
Supplement: I had initially installed on the notebook, the firewall 'ZoneAlarm ". This led - for whatever reason - every day to blue screens. After uninstalling, I had no single crash.
Supplement Two: The Notebok whimpers - precisely Intel processor operation via the integrated power saving measures. The problem is known and can usually be corrected in the BIOS by the C-states are disabled. Since HP does not provide access to this feature in the BIOS, you can make do with the "Throttle-Stop". Probably this is true of all notebooks.
