The SL400H is small and handy. The keyboard is very easy to operate and the display has a fine resolution and is bright enough. The keyboard brightness can be regulated in 5 stages - the display brightness is not adjustable. Pixel error has not delivered my phone.
The sound of the speaker is good, of the 4000 Comfort was voluminous, which probably but is related to the flat design of the SL400. The handsfree speaker on I working properly, my counterpart can super understand me and him. A "croak" or similar I could not tell who wrote what some reviewers.
Have the software installed on my computer GigasetQuickSync and also same time transmit new ringtones from MP3 files to your phone via Bluetooth - works fine. One can get the sound / song to curtail the appropriate section with the software even.
The existing phone numbers that I transferred to the handset from the mobile phone also via Bluetooth. Worked well with no complications. The only drawback: The SL400 sorts the names by last name and not name. So that I can live. Who wants to have it otherwise can then yes manually the name change with the last name and you've got his desired display. Perhaps there will still a firmware update for the SL400.
I use Outlook not so I can not try to synchronize with it.
As a very nice feature, I feel the display of missed calls. The SL400 indicates this by flashing signal. The Comfort 4000 also made this and I have this feature very much appreciated.
I run the SL400H at my Fritz box 7270 and the application worked wonderfully. One can also use the Eco mode so but then the reception quality is not as good. I have turned off the. What does that even ... "radiate" the phones also funny to himself.
Both handsets (SL400 + 4000 Comfort) now accept the date and time of the Box: Since yesterday my FritzBox has now received a firmware update, which AVM has newly provided, and lo and behold. Previously this was not possible. You had to enter everything again after switching off the handset. This is now past!
I can say nothing about the capacity of the battery - the has yet to be "trained".
The belt clip I attached to the phone (of course a matter of taste). Have the "plastic snap-spacer" removed with pliers and now the phone is no longer on the beautiful but impractical piano lacquer back but on the belt clip. It can scratch anything. In addition, the speaker is now also no longer covered when the handset is out of the sofa armrest. The sound / tone comes over anyway still good.
My full recommendation for this great SL400!
Addendum 16.10.2010: Battery performance is very good - lasts me about 1 week with daily 1 hour phone (Settings: display off when not in use + keyboard backlight on 2 + course Bluetooth off - at night I put the handset does not belong.. )
