Obviously (matches the keyword "lamp" :-)) is that the supplied clay burner is a potential wear parts. Especially when the lamp also just want to heat, and therefore constantly changes the burner. And: The manufacturer states that you can get even additional 10-20% light output with the VA-burner.
I have by the way of all: According to Wikipedia Petroleum has an energy density of 9.5 kWh / L. If you believe the information, after which the lamp with a full tank of 1 L for about 8 hours burns (dimmable it is not really), one arrives at a power of 1.1 kW. If one believes even the manufacturer's specification of 400 W light output, are doing 700 W into heat. The bulb lights up longer, the ratio shifts in favor of the light output.
