I do not want to mention that I fly remote controlled surface models since 1976, but this with the helicopter in my opinion, rather unsuitable control mode "2". So I decided now at an advanced age, to change that and set me on mode "1".
Then I launched this year a new approach and opted for the V911. Even now I needed a lot of patience, but this time more based on maintaining a functional model. Because with the first delivery of the station was bent and broken without function and in the second one battery. If I had a second faulty packing suspected I had waited with the return of the first. So twice Wait was announced, although I was able to practice with a rechargeable battery. Returns and replacements run at German providers known without any problems.
Of course, the first experiments were carried out in the living room, but the helicopter is simply too fast and extremely responsive to commands. Hardly any of my great houseplants remained "unscathed", so I flew with little wind in front of the house and made it even more violent with "enemy contacts" not to damage anything in the model. Only the tail rotor broke up and had to be replaced after the model had collided at high speed with a suddenly cracked in the trajectory of house wall.
Wind, and he was still so weak, always means a certain struggle and a lot of "forward" against him and high speed with him. Because of the "Fixed-Pitch technology" has a lot of power to be used against the wind, but the implements of Heli in height. Therefore, it is always necessary to fly against the wind ahead, because the reduction of the amount then the model will inevitably driven back. Particularly in the classification of landing must be thought here ahead.
Meanwhile, during transport, a maintenance of the runner bracket is broken and will soon be replaced, but really important is not it, because you can easily start out of hand and switch off when landing in low altitude over grass easy to drive.
Otherwise, I can only advise every beginner, after starting to go quickly to about a meter high, because of the ground-effect does not allow smooth ride. Moreover, grass is the preferred crash site each firm ground.

To long as possible to have the helicopter, I recommend two methods in emergency situations:
"Full throttle" and everything else or to the middle position, if the model is still in a sufficient amount, because it stabilizes and instantly brings sufficient safety distance between itself and the floor
"Engine off" when it is clear that the flight now inevitably approaching an involuntary end. A non-driven rotor can practically not be damaged.
Incredibly, that lack of skills can be easily replaced by something as what a few "nine years of Chinese" screw together and solder and a few others can, probably not much older program. I any case, it has facilitated the entry into the aviation of model helicopters enormously!
On criticism strikes me primarily a bad habit that, each model from the Far East mitzugeben one of these cheap transmitters, which a gigantic pile of electronic waste is produced which could be avoided with standardization of systems. Not even V911 and V912 are compatible here!
Moreover, I expect a better care of the battery and thus a longer service life by a suitable charger for my "real" LiPo charger. Then the batteries can also be stored permanently, without losing capacity.
