Since today is the complete album officially heard on the Internet, and I could not wait. The first pre-heard song RnR-Train has my hopes honestly strongly attenuated, the second (War Machine) made me sit up again slightly. Now I've heard the whole album, and am willing to give him a clear conscience subjective five stars. Brendan O'Brien did a great job as a producer; because I suspect that he has encouraged the band to some of the surprises on this album, and the sound is the best since "Razors Edge". Among the songs: RnR-Train - in any case has long been known to unspectacular as an entry. But a good song, typsich for the Aussies. Skies on Fire - Surprisingly good, high vocals of Johnson, midtempo rock with great melodies. Hits. Big Jack - is rapidly on trip and will splendid Mitwipp number, increase culminates in a powerful chorus, the soon mitbrüllen every fan. Also on the Twelve. War Machine - Böööse. One of the songs that sound like the title suggests. Specifically, the rough bark of Malcolm in the chorus gives it charm. Anything goes - For AC / DC unusual number, but really cool feel-good rocker. Next hit. Smash 'n' grave - Slow mashed number, partly slightly menacing atmosphere. Still high level of quality. Spoilin for a Fight - straighte number, written on the AC / DC-drawing board, but falls a bit, but still really good. Wheels - beginning a little thin but starts quickly. Happy Boogie, the gekreischte title sounds like screeching tires. :-) Decibel - riff with easily Native American touch, at times similarity to "Cover You in Oil", not a peak, but has its moments. Stormy May Day - Unusually early. I think I'm crazy, which is a slide guitar? Cool fact-Southern-rock number. She likes RnR - Dewy rock number, also contains a few more little things that I've never heard of AC / DC, Johnson vocally very convincing. In the heights rather than singing, screaming. Money Made - Sounds like the beginning again after a bit of Southern Rock. Leisurely number. If you are even with a beer and a cigarette in a bar and want this to look cool, you should order before the DJ this song. RnR legend - begins like this dreamy, as the title suggests. Next surprise: It is true that even strong moments, but basically a ballad. The first and only of AC / DC since "Love Song". Rocking All The Way - And again I can not stop paddles on my foot. Typical AC / DC number. No Pops, but 'n nice solo and good for driving. Black Ice - The title track is for me not now as catchy as the majority of the rest, but I feel that he is to come.
I am content. Frankly, I was afraid that the long break is a sign that the guys just think of nothing or that they are getting too old to still convincingly convey certain trademarks, such as Johnson's distinctive voice. But that was one of the first surprises on the album. His voice has power and sounds fresh, and - what to me was completely new - he sings in the high areas often, instead of yelling. They also provide us with Southern Rock (subjective opinion, correct me if I am wrong), a semi-ballad, rock and roll away from AC / DC scheme, and occasionally plays Phil Rudd even fills. :-) My hope was to be able to give the album four stars with a clear conscience. Since the boys have caught me but quite to the eggs. It is clearly better than the last two, only time will tell whether it "The Razors Edge" "despite the absence of a" Thunderstruck "-Äquivalents beats". But even if not, we have here one of the two best AC / DC albums since 1981st I guess this thick grin I can not get out of my face for weeks now. :-)
