Ideal for individual adjustments

Had the opportunity to test the USB dock at a photo exhibition and thought it would now buy at f / 1.4 to correct a small distance-dependent fehlfokus my Sigma 35mm for Nikon. This can be as mentioned in Vorrezensenten, update the firmware and adjust individual corrections for 30, 40 and 60cm, and at infinity. This is roughly equivalent to the camera's internal correction (+/- 20), you can proceed much more flexible with the dock.

Since the question now and then on came here very briefly: The dock can be used only in combination with the new Sigma lenses. Recognized by the newly introduced C, A or S label.

For processing, I can not say anything negative so far: There is no unpleasant odor of the plastic, which feels extremely pleasant matt (similar to the plastic 35mm f / 1.4 lens hood) identifiable and burrs are off no. The metal bayonet at the dock seems stable and sits after latching firmly on the lens.

Or would like to implement individual settings concerning autofocus speed, stabilizer properties and Fokusentfernungsbegrenzer - Can this accessory therefore recommend all those who own one of the new Sigma lenses and either way I want to perform small corrections in order to achieve absolute clarity.

Addendum:
The dock I still recommend for personal or camera-specific corrections - but has the Sigma also here again criticize short, the seemingly with focus problems often refers more recently on this accessory, and informed me on the phone that are possible with this probably better corrections, as through sending in a lens to the company service.

Furthermore annoying the first always appears looking for a firmware update. When time passes a test cycle to adjust his lens optimally, it is not uncommon that one fifth the dock, six or seven connected up. Here, each time waiting until the software an absence reports the same, feels unnecessary.
Perhaps this is indeed improved in a future update.
