I'm a specialty to recover hard drives in 2.5-inch SATA laptop or netbook-type mini-computers that were not working. Before drawing in the trash, I ripped open, their fee their hard-drive, and install it in this little box that does not look as it is practical. Indeed, no screws, the metallic cover clips onto the plastic, and the disc is held in the housing by means of small pads of foam. Of course, if the disc is removed-installed every day, I would not give much for the life of the foam calles, but they perfectly fulfill their role. Comes with a small carrying pouch and a USB Y-cable to double energy supply if the USB port does not deliver enough.
In short, we are left with an external drive that works wonders on PC & Mac. I also serve as WiiU on my external backup, and on my NAS SYNOLOGY to the daily backup sensitive files.
