Something thin wire, but of course, excellent to use. Would be beneficial, perhaps, albeit at the other end of the wire would be a possibility of contact or a clip, then you could connect it to a gutter or the like that end yet. It would be noted of course that such a gutter somewhere is also grounded, and thus again would involve a disadvantage. But there is at least one synthetic fiber loop with which one can play the role that then appended to the end fix. There is no spring inside that would roll up the wire automatically. So you have to crank the wire. But even as a spring would probably rather worsen the reception to improve. DK9UB
