My girlfriend and I have read the book to the movie, so it was almost compulsory to see the live-action adaptation. On the whole, the film is fine. Just like the book, this film is very suited to teenagers and young people. Therefore, "adult" audience should not be too disappointed with the dialogues or the "love story". What needs to be interpreted very negatively, however, compared with the book is that the film is very pressed. It goes from a point immediately to the next and the next. Here you can book the time and you can learn a lot of information about the characters per se. Why is he doing now exactly? What are the backgrounds that? On many of these points will not be discussed in the film and so gaps in the story may arise. Although I am grateful once again, that this ridiculous rat sequence was not taken from the book into the movie.
The film can feel free to watch if really running anything else on television.
On HD can be really waived for this film. The special effects are now not so crucial that you would have to pay 1 Euro more for this.
