The task is to extend the range of an old router Telekom Speedport W700V (still without WDS function) in the boiler room behind a wall with fire door. The wireless reception on the ground floor (kitchen, living room) is still reasonably. Terrace and 1st floor can be forgettable (no reception or constant disconnections) ..
The data used as a repeater device (then plugged into an electrical outlet if required in the living room) is now available on the 1st floor everywhere a good adequate supply of the wireless signal available. The terrace is also covered with.
(Anyone who has a little knowledge, which can additionally watch the channel assignment in his environment and possibly make a manual channel selection. (This is but ssehen regardless of this repeater. The deeper seated the wireless router in the basement, the less' looks He 'the neighborhood, and the greater unfortunately the risk of collisions channel.))
I've tried the functions AP and Bridge. Both performed flawlessly.
The configuration via the Web interface simply proceeds.
In another review I had read that the device settings made 'forgets' after a few days 'non-operational' (ie not in the socket) (and therefore needs to be reconfigured). I have not yet found a 5-day break (and I expect it will also no longer). And if the device remains permanently in the socket, there is no danger here anyway ...
For the price I would buy the device at any time.
