However, on the other hand I was afraid anew each year the winter, without the laundry room had also during the cold season everything on the balcony and the guest rooms are hung.
This winter I have now reluctantly and after a long search in test magazines my first dryer acquired ... and, to take it straight away, I am more than satisfied!
What on Siemens IQ800 WT47Y701 has equal convinced me:
(+) Stiftung Warentest test winner
(+) Huge capacity (8 kg)
(+) Integrated water tank
(+) Very low power consumption (A ++)
(+) Graphical LCD plain text display
(+) Very quiet
(+) Self-cleaning condenser
And now, the "practical test":
After switching on the first "WOW" effect, welcome to a great and LCD display - so a drier in 2014 should be to use! Via rotary switch, a suitable program must be chosen which there are more than enough: Outdoor, shirts, cotton, easy, Mix, lingerie, wool, pillows, blankets, towels, quick program, finish hot / cold.
Thereafter, via Menu (via "touch operation") still start time, adjusted dry objective (eg ironing / drying cabinet / closet plus dry) and additional options (Schontrockung, fine adjustment dryness, moisture content of the linen etc.) can be set. Of course, can be stored keys settings via memory.
When loading the machine, the second "wow" effect, the drum is illuminated LED, looks very good !!!
After starting you will always be kept informed on the display of the current status, from the start of the drying of the achieved drying degrees, condenser cleaning or final anti-crease. The expected drying time is first calculated from the moisture level manually adjusted, but adapts very quickly to the actual humidity of the laundry. When cotton program include initially still over 2 hours, half load or high flung laundering but the value is shrinking rapidly to under an hour.
Information on volume: to tell the Siemens would inaudible does not definitely, but his sonorous growl not bother us. More problematic are rather zippers or the like which can strum the drum. In an apartment building, it is quite possible also to dry on Sunday - provided, of course, the washing machine is also quiet.
I use so far mostly the default settings (except, careful drying activated) and can confirm that still possess in this way individual parts every now and then a little residual moisture. But for me no problem, a short (about 15 minutes) Finish program and everything is perfectly dry. Alternatively, you might as well "plus cupboard dry" choose to start or fine-tune the level of dryness. So not really a problem.
Inspired by the positive results, I give now also delicates and even woolen clothes in the dryer (of course with the appropriate program) and has not been disappointed. Except for a few very sensitive garments now everything lands in the Siemens IQ800 WT47Y701.
A nice side effect, the use of the dryer by the way, the laundry is free of any hair or fluff. I'll get after each drying a small felt mat from the (easily removable) sieve net, whose lint / dust otherwise might have been in the apartment. Since then, I have to (no kidding) only half as often vacuuming. In addition, the clothes, especially towels, very soft. Had I known this earlier, I would have switched years ago on a dryer :-)
A small gripe is there still, though dried by dryer laundry still smells like freshly laundered, but unfortunately loses the "fresh scent" of the fabric softener.
