Design / Commissioning:
The Bluray Player is small and slim. It comes in black chic and therefore is hardly noticeable; very discreet.
The installation went very smoothly. Unpack, connect to the stream, there you go. The menu is well done (it is set up like the PS3), all functions can be easily and quickly find.
The remote control can I find a bit unfortunate in design. It is relatively thick, but small.
Play:
The picture is absolutely flawless, sharp, good color reproduction.
Even when playing DVDs is realizing through the HD upscaler an improvement, even if this is limited and, of course, can not be compared with the image of a Bluray is.
Unfortunately I have no 3D TV, so I could not test this feature.
Further Functions:
The Media Player (USB stick) is working properly. All files I tested could be recognized and played (although this is usually already possible directly via the TV).
The connection to the home network (cable) went smoothly. Then music / movies on the Bluray player could be streamed, what is more beautiful than to look at the PC (jeodch you need in the file on the PC, so you can not play streamed to your PC files on the player).
In addition, you can see the services LOVEFiLM, max cathedrals and Watch Ever over the player use (paid streaming services), which may be of interest to one or the other.
Conclusion:
Sony has clearly geared to the functions of the PS3 here. Menu structure, streaming, integration of other services are very similar. I find this positively; the player works.
Good players with class image. The additional features are compelling. Thumbs up.
