After a moment's hesitation, I ended up ordering the controller, compatble Xbox 360 and Windows. I am totally satisfied. Although I prefer to play on Playstation 3, I must admit that the ergonomics of the Dualshock 3 was not quite that of Microsoft.

Regarding driver installation, nothing to say, you plug and it's ready. No surprises, over the cable is long enough to be able to play with friends in the lounge.
