This card has been installed and recognized by Windows 7 a snap.
My 3 DV camcorders (2 Panasonic and JVC 1) were recognized without problems.
If you need to add a Firewire port on your PC that does not have, do not hesitate, you will not regret your purchase.
In addition, the Firewire cable 4/6 point provided is very convenient (my camcorders are 4 points, 3 connectors on the card in 6 points).
